Chiyaan Vikram is on cloud nine as his recent release 'Kadaram Kondan' produced by Kamal Haasan has been declared a hit at the box office. He will start shooting for Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' in early 2020 sharing screen space with Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara, Aishwarya Rai, Anushka, Keerthy Suresh, Parthiban and Amitab Bachchan.

In the meantime, Vikram will finish his 58th film directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and jointly produced by Lalith Kumar and Viacom 18 with A.R. Rahman providing the music. The big buzz in Kollywood is that Vikram will be portraying twenty-five different roles in the movie and each get up will be completely different from one another. If this turns out to be true then Chiyaan will soon create the world record for playing the most number of characters in one single movie in the history of cinema.

Earlier Sivaji Ganesan portrayed nine roles in the 1964 classic 'Navarathri' while Kamal Haasan donned ten characters in 'Dasavatharam' released in 2008. Priyanka Chopra holds the current world record of playing twelve characters in 'What is Your Rashee' that came out in 2009. Even in Hollywood, it is only Eddie Murphy who has done seven to eight roles in 'Coming to America' and 'The Nutty Professor'. Well looks like Vikram will soon set a record that will be pretty much impossible to emulate in the near future.
