The recent Tollywood sensation 'Arjun Reddy' will be remade in Tamil and the hero will be Dhruv the son of actor Chiyaan Vikram

Vikram made the official announcement in his Instagram page. The film will be produced by E4 Entertainment banner. 

'Arjun Reddy' directed by Sandeep Vagga starring Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles has achieved a cult status with its 'Devdas' like theme. The film has managed to be successful in Chennai and other non-Telugu locations and it has became a hot property in remake business.

It has been speculated for quite sometime that Dhruv will be making his Kollywood debut. Earlier it was rumored that big directors like Shankar will launch him. But now Dhruv has bagged the offer to make his much awaited debut into Tamil films with 'Arjun Reddy' remake and the young talent could not ask for a better debut. 

It is to be noted that Dhruv has written and directed a short film 'Good Night Charlie' which talked about abuse of children within families. 

Dhruv will replace Vijay Devarakonda in the Tamil remake of 'Arjun Reddy' while the makers are yet to finalize the heroine. More details about this exciting project will be announced soon.
