'Saamy', the Telugu version of Chiyaan Vikram's 'Saamy Square', will be released in the Telugu States by Bellam Rama Krishna Reddy and Giri. As per a box-office tracker, the film's theatrical rights have been bought by the aforementioned names for Rs. 8 crores.

Written and directed by Hari, the film is a cop actioner. Vikram's character will be a larger-than-life one, wherein the hero vanquishes the worst cinematic villains with a divine vengeance. Keerthy Suresh will be seen in a bubbly role in the movie. Bobby Simha, Soori, Prabhu, John Vijay, Ishwarya and others are part of the cast.

Produced by Shibu Thameens, its music is by Devi Sri Prasad. The cinematography is by Venkatesh Anguraj.

The mass masala film's release date is yet to be announced.
