Though nothing can be said with certainty in filmdom, it is now emerging clear that Vikram will do his first straight Telugu film after a long time under the direction of Gunasekar.

Initially, there was some confusion that he may not do the film as he was not happy with the script.

Apparently, Gunasekar had reworked the screenplay and spoke to Vikram.

The actor who is on a high with the recent success of Aparichitudu finally seems to have given the go-ahead.

Vikram is currently busy with a Tamil film Maja.

More importantly, the news is that Vikram seems to have convinced Trisha to play the female lead in his Telugu film.

The film is to be produced by Bhogavalli Prasad who is now making Chatrapathy.

The film will hit the floors in March next year and will be ready for release in August 2006.
