Actor Vikram Prabhu was last seen on screen in the action packed crime drama Thuppaki Munai directed by Dinesh Selvaraj and co-starring MS Bhaskar, Hansika Motwani and the film received fairly good reviews. Currently the actor is a part of several interesting projects.

His next release will be Asuraguru, directed by debutant director Rajdeep, who had earlier assisted director Mohan Raja, and happens to be a double gold medalist from Chennai Film Institute. This movie is said to be a crime thriller and now the character played by Vikram Prabhu has been revealed.

After playing a police officer in Thuppakki Munai, Vikram Prabhu will be seen as a thief in Asuraguru, and as per the plot, his character steals money from a corrupt person played by Nagineedu, and also from government, following which detective Mahima Nambiar and police officer played by Subbaraju try to nab him.
