The upcoming Savithri biopic 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' has Keerthy Suresh playing the legendary actress while Dulquer Salman appears as Gemini Ganesan, Mohan Babu as S.V. Ranga Rao and Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda in pivotal roles.  The film produced by Vyjayanthi Movies is directed by Nag Ashwin and will hit the screens on the 9th of May.

Savithri and Sivaji Ganesan became immortal as a brother and sister after their timeless classic 'Paasamalar' and have also paired up in many movies including 'Navarathri' and 'Thiruvilaiyadal'. The makers of 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' are said to be keen on getting Vikram Prabhu on board to play a cameo as his grandfather Sivaji.  Similarly efforts are on to rope in Naga Chaitanya to play his grandfather Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and Junior NTR as NTR.
