Several months ago Indiaglitz had reported that actor Chiyaan Vikram will be acting as a transgender for the first time in 'Iru Mugan' which is also his first dual role flick.

Now that the shooting has begun and two schedules have been completed in Malaysia and Chennai a source close to the 'Iru Mugan' unit confirms that Vikram is acting in two roles while one is that of a secret agent that other one is a transgender.

'Iru Mugan' is a stylish action thriller directed by Anand Shankar of 'Arima Nambi' fame. The film is being produced on a grand scale by Shibu Thameens while Nayanthara and Nithya Menen are acting as the female leads.

Actors Prakash Raj (Appu) and Sarathkumar (Kanchana) have acted as transgenders before and their performances in those films are considered as one of the best in their respective careers. We can hope that a highly dedicated professional like Vikram will present a much nuanced transgender on screen.

We will have to wait for official confirmation though.
