On Sunday, the title of Chiyaan Vikram's next film with director Pa Ranjith was unveiled to be 'Thangalaan' with a spellbinding glimpse teaser. Touted to be a magnum opus period action drama, the movie also stars Parvathy, Pasupathy and Malavika Mohanan in pivotal roles.

Earlier, we broke to you that the film's shooting commenced on October 17 in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The short schedule was wrapped up recently. Now, the latest update is that Chiyaan Vikram and Pa Ranjith's 'Thangalaan' shoot moves to Madurai and they will be shooting in the busy city for a couple of weeks. The makers also filmed some initial portions in Chennai.

The story is said to be based on real incidents about the mine workers in the KGF, set in the pre-Independence period. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the musical score for 'Thangalaan'. On the work front, Chiyaan Vikram's long-delayed film 'Dhruva Natchathiram' directed by Gautham Menon is getting ready for a grand release by the year-end.
