Actor Chiyaan Vikram's next big release 'Iru Mugan' was earlier reported to hit the screens as a Independence Day treat in August. But now we learn that the film's release has been postpone by almost a month.

Sources reveal that 'Iru Mugan' directed by Anand Shankar of 'Arima Nambi' fame will be hitting the screens on September 9 for Bakrid Festival weekend. The film stars Vikram in dual roles with Nayanthara and Nithya Menen playing the female leads.

Fans expecting the release of 'Iru Mugan' will have to relish with the audio and trailer release which can be expected by the end of this month or the latest by the first week of August. The music album has been composed by Harris Jayaraj whose association with Vikram in the past for films like 'Samurai', 'Saamy'and 'Anniyan' have proved to be phenomenally successful. The trailer will reportedly unveil the suspense over the second character played by Vikram in the film and that will definitely be a huge surprise to the film buffs.
