The shooting of Vikram’s upcoming project Mahavir Karna, directed by R.S. Vimal, will commence from January 2019 onwards, revealed writer B. Jeyamohan.

The movie will be rolled out on a budget of Rs. 300 crore, with a star cast from across the country. The project is to be released in three languages – Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. After 2.0, Mahavir Karna will supposedly be high on VFX, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies VFX is apparently working on it.

Vikram was initially reluctant to do the role, contemplating if he would be able to live up to Sivaji Ganesan’s role in Karnan, but was on board when he heard the entire script and the way his role has been carved.

Vikram is currently awaiting the release of his movie Dhruva Natchathiram, directed by Gautham Menon.
