Vikram by bagging the national award has joined the elite list of award winners, which includes Kamalhassan.

Kamalhassan recently said at a function that each time when the national awards were announced he would get vexed that he did not get the award but this time he is not displeased because Vikram got it.

Hearing this Vikram was very happy to get a pat from the senior. Now the buzz has it that after ` Anniyan’ the actor is moving towards a period film. The film is of a Samurai kind of warrior who existed in the 19th century. Research work is on and soon it will start with a bang says the grapevine.

Kamalhasan who started `Marudhanayagan’ and shelved it might feel quite dejected that Vikram overtakes him with a period film.
