Finally, it is confirmed that ‘Kathaswamy’ will hit the screens next month. The Vikram-Shriya starrer directed by Susi Ganesan, has been slated for an August 7 release, failing which it is now confirmed that it will hit screens the week following that.

This will come as good news to all VIkram fans, who haven’t seen their star on screen for more than a year an a half. His last release was the forgettable ‘Bheema’, which was also delayed by more than a year.

It is then clear that ‘Kanthaswamy’ will fight it with Kamal Haasan’s ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ in the box office, which is slated for an August 13 release. Waiting for these two biggies to battle are a slew of smaller movies, apart from the big flick ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’. ‘Pokkisham’, directed by Cheran, is also expected to get released in early September.

Finally, after more than a year’s hype, four of the industry’s most anticipated films will be battling it out in the next two months. Have fun, movie goers.
