Vikram's recent release was the debut director Bejoy Nambiar's "David". This film was released in Tamil with a cast including Vikram, Jiiva, Tabu and more. The same film was also released in Hindi which had Vikram, Neil Nithin Mukesh, Vinay Virmani, Tabu, Lara Dutta and Isha SHarvani.

Vikram has already appeared in Bollywood with Maniratnam's "Raavanan" which was released in both Tamil and Hindi. When asked about his entry to Bollywood, Vikram said that he is not the type to go to an industry just for a higher salary and that there is more than enough time for him to even think about making a Hindi movie. He also said that money was not why he acted in Hindi movies.
