What? – Suriya is not Rolex Sir in ‘Vikram 3’? Which big star will play the role then?

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Vikram’ which released on June 3rd is smashing records left and right and is soon expected to find its place amongst the biggest grossers ever in Tamil cinema.  The overseas, Kerala, Karnataka and other territories too are recording all time highs as well.

‘Vikram’ is about undercover cops belonging to different agencies using their own methods to bring down the drug mafia in Tamil Nadu.  Kamal, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Vasanthi, Santhanabharathi and Kumaravel are the protagonists while Chemban Vinod and Vijay Sethupathi are the corrupt cop and the drug lord respectively.

In the final scene of ‘Vikram’, Suriya appears as the deadly Rolex the national level head of the drug trafficking business in India.  His presence has further escalated the expectations for the film sky high and fans want more of him and pretty soon at that.

Kamal has already confirmed that Suriya is on board for ‘Vikram 3’ and inside sources reveal that the film will go on floors in mid 2023 after Lokesh Kanagaraj completes Vijay’s ‘Thalapathy 67’.  There are several theories doing the round in Kollywood and the most likely one that is bound to happen is Kamal as Vikram, Karthi as Dilli and Fahadh Faasil as Amar will take on Rolex Sir (Suriya) at the mother of all battles.

One of the theories now taking flight is that Suriya may not be Rolex as his clean image as an actor and as a philanthropist will suffer if he plays a monstrous drug kingpin.  Hence there is a possiblity that Suriya may belong to the black ops team of Kamal and Fahadh and could be masquerading as Rolex to kill all those associated with the drug mafia as an inside man.

To substantiate this line of thought it is pointed out that until Rolex appears in the end of ‘Vikram’ no one except Santhanam (Vijay Sethupathi) has seen him and he too is killed. Anyways we have to wait and see whether this turns out to be true or Suriya decides to go totally badass for a change in ‘Vikram 3’.  

Then the next big question is if Suriya is not Rolex, then who is it going to be.  Will it be another big star appearing at the end of ‘Vikram 3’ and move the franchise further to ‘Vikram 4’?
