Review:
The series has an interesting premise that will keep the audiences hooked to it from the first scene itself. The first episode is crafted so well that it sets the tone for the rest of the episodes.
The screenplay of the series is appreciable. The beats that are plotted in the series increase the curiosity periodically. The twists also keep us hooked to the series. Despite a strong plot and good execution, it feels like there is still room for improvement in some scenes, especially the emotional ones. The narrative pace also drops in the middle but picks up towards the end.
The detailing that went into writing this series is highly impressive. The period backdrop is established well and it becomes the core part of the narrative. The dialogues are good and present the scenes naturally. Some twists are predictable while some twists are organically formed.
The production values are solid in this series. Mainly, the precautions taken by the makers to accommodate the periodic back drop are good. The set-up, as well as the dressing, make the series immerse itself in the era. Also, the music and cinematography are good. They made the scenes reflect the tone of the series. Some slow scenes need to be cut in editing.
Performances-wise, Naresh Agastya ha displayed his full potential with his series. Although, we have seen him earlier in other projects, this is the series where we get to see him in his full potential. Since this is a period series, Naresh tried to be as authentic as possible with his speaking mannerisms and body language. As a detective, he scores full marks. He is supported by some more good performances by Tarak Ponnappa, Shiju Menon, Raghu Kunche, Megha Akash, Ravi Teja, Amit Tiwari and others.
When it comes to director Pradeep Maddali, it can be said that in this series, he has made a thriller that gives a decent treat to the audience. The director's effort to make the series line almost exciting is good. The team's work will impress those who want to watch a solid detective show. We can say that it is a home-grown Telangana detective series.
On the whole, the series has an interesting theme, good thrills, and decent story episodes.
