Actor Vijay recently had a release with Bigil directed by Atlee, and this movie which was the third movie from the actor - director combo went on to collect more than 150 crores and is running successfully, despite mixed responses from critics and audience.

On the other hand, Vijay has already started shooting for his next movie Thalapathy 64 which is directed by Managaram and Kaithi director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and after a schedule wrapped in Chennai, the team is moving to Delhi next for the second schedule.

While Malavika Mohanan was announced as the female lead, Andrea Jeremiah was recently reported to have joined the cast, and the latest update is that actress Brigida, popular in social media for starring in web series Aaha Kalyanam has been signed to play an important role. Thalapathy 64 also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Shanthanu and Antony Varghese.
