Thalapathy Vijay’s recent outing in ‘Mersal’ was celebrated by fans and general audience for its socially relevant content in addition to the numerous records it broke at the box office. Even so, some expressed doubt over the film’s performance at the box office stating that its makers incurred loss.

However, as a fitting reponse to all the naysayers, ‘Mersal’ has been reportedly listed in Indian cinema’s highest grossers which was recently released. The film has earned the 25th spot in the same which has come off as a happy news that Vijay fans would no doubt be proud of.

It is also worth mentioning here that Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' has earned the top spot with an earnings of Rs.2122 crores with Rajinikanth's 'Enthiran' and 'Kabali' at ranks 21 and 22 respectively.
