A nationalized bank has given a notification advertisement on many newspapers announcing that several properties of actor and DMDK president Captain Vijayakanth are up for auction. This has come across as a huge shock for fans of the actor as well as his party followers.

As per the announcement from the bank, the Aandal Azhagar Educational trust owned by the actor has a loan from the bank worth 5 crores, and the actor and his wife Premalatha have signed permitting the auction of three properties belonging to them for this loan.

The advertisement also carried the details of the loan and the properties that are going to be auctioned, their estimated values and the minimal auction price. After the disappointing results in the recently held Lok Sabha elections, and the health condition of Vijayakanth, this has saddened the followers of the actor.
