Actress Vijayalakshmi might be the daughter of a famous director, Agathiyan, but that hasn’t ensured the actress success in the easiest way. After relatively insignificant roles in Chennai 600028 and Mysskin’s Anjathay, the actress had been scouting for offers.

Particular about not sporting revealing attires, the actress had a hard time finding interesting roles in Kollywood. She then paired up with friend and her Chennai 600028 costar Jai for Adhey Neram Ahdey Idam. Apart from this, the actress is also playing Rajini’s love interest in Sultan The Warrior, in which she is a queen, and is said to play a negative role.

The offers, especially the last one has been solid and is sure to give her a good name. Yet the actress is said to have given up her demure girl image and has agreed to go in for some glam. She sports a new sexy look in Katradhu Kalavu, in which she plays heroine to Krishna.

Vijayalakshmi has been roped in to play Kalloori Akil’s love interest in his next flick as well.
