Veteran actor Vijayakumar married Muthukannu in the year 1969 and has three children with her Anitha, Kavitha and Arun Vijay. He later married actress Manjula in the year 1976 and has three daughters Vanitha Vijayakumar, Preetha Hari and Sreedevi. Out of his six children except for his eldest daughter, Anitha have acted in films while she got married to Gokulakrishnan a doctor in 1997 and has settled in London with two grown-up children.

Anitha's family photos have now gone viral and the striking resemblance between all the siblings are unmistakable. Unfortunately, Vanitha Vijayakumar due to misunderstandings is not seen in any of the family pics but the other siblings have bonded together in a loving manner.

Vijayakumar's second daughter Kavitha has acted in one movie titled 'Kooli' with Sarathkumar and Vijay Adiraj. Vanitha Vijayakumar who made her acting debut as heroine opposite Vijay in 'Chandralekha' later hit the limelight with 'Bigg Boss 3' and 'Cook With Comali' and now owns her own YouTube channel in which she shares cooking and lifestyle stories. Preetha Vijayakumar made her debut opposite Suriya in 'Santhipoma' and has done several films including 'Padayappa' and 'Suyamvaram'. Sreedevi started her career as a child actress in 'Rickhsaw Mama' and later on became a heroine and did several films in Tamil and Telugu including 'Devathaiyai Kadnen' with Dhanush.

Arun Vijay one of the most exciting action heroes in Tamil cinema is currently starring in a number of films including 'Boxer', 'Agni Siragugal', 'Sinam' and 'Zindabad'.
