Vijayakanth's star power never diminished, but he almost stopped acting after becoming the Opposition Leader of Tamil Nadu State Assembly in 2011. The last film he acted in the lead role was for his directorial debut 'Virudhagiri' which released in 2010.

But now after a long gap the highly revered Captain will be returning with a bang to don the greasepaint. He will be acting in the lead role in a film titled as 'Tamizhan Endru Sol'. It will have Vijayakanth's son Shanmugapandian in another lead character. The film will be directed by debutante Arun Ponnambalam. Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi has been roped in to score music for the film.

Shanmugapandian debuted as hero with 'Sagaptham' produced by Vijayakanth. This film failed to attract audience. But 'Tamizhan Endru Sol' promises to provide the first break for the young actor as Vijayakanth's star power will make the film a biggie and we can expect it to have the true Captain flavour. The title itself is fiery and strong suiting Vijayakanth's image.

'Tamizhan Endru Sol' will be launched with a formal pooja on Sunday (22, November 2015).
