Known for his action tag, Vijayakanth gets ready with an 'adrenaline-rushing' entertainer in 'Virudhagiri'. Besides playing the lead role, Vijayakanth has penned the script and wielded the megaphone too. The movie will hit the screens this December.

Produced by L Sudeesh for Captain Cine Creations, the movie has music by Sundar C Babu, dialogues by Velumani and cinematography by Boopathy.

The movie's title is inspired by the presiding deity Virudhagireeswarar at Vriddhchalam, the Assembly constituency represented by Vijayakanth himself.

He commenced the project last year and it was shot extensively at Malaysia, Hong Kong, Bangkok and adjoining countries. Playing the female lead to Vijayakanth is a debutante Madhuri Etachi, a Bangalore model. Vijayakanth has predicted that his directorial debut 'Virudhagiri' will become a hit.
