Vijayakanth at his combative best

Actor and president of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam Vijayakanth condemned both the AIADMK and DMK for taking a dig at each other for Sunday's stampede at MGR Nagar in Chennai, which claimed 42 lives.
Speaking to presspersons after addressing a rally in Coimbatore, Vijayakanth said 'the tragedy that claimed several lives had left a deep sorrow in every heart. The authorities could have distributed relief by going to the respective areas.'
Reiterating that his party would contest the forthcoming Assembly polls alone, Vijayakanth dared other parties to go it alone instead of forging strong alliances during elections.
