Actor-cum-politician Vijayakanth is on the verge of completing his movie 'Engal Aasaan'. Produced by S Ve Thangaraj, the movie which happens to be Vijayakanth's 151st film and features Sheryl Brindo opposite him. Vikranth, Akshaya and Suja are also in the cast.

After completing 'Engal Aasaan', Vijayakanth will join hands with director Vikraman again. With Meera Jasmine playing the female lead, Vikraman has chosen to title the film 'Mariyadhai'. Though Vikraman has rendered several hits in the past, his last venture 'Chennai Kadhal' did not do very well at the box office.

Expectations are high as the two come together again after a successful outing in 'Vanathai Polae', a few years ago.

Sources say it would be a typical Vikraman movie laced with emotions. Obviously Vijayakanth fans cannot expect their 'Captain' totting guns and running behind terrorists in the film.
