The trailer for 'Vijaya Raghavan' suggests that the film is about a saviour who fights for the stubborn problems faced by a colony, where the underprivileged are exploited by a host of criminals. School-going kids are picked up by cops for interrogation and labelled suspects. How Vijay Antony's Vijaya Raghavan takes on the mafia-police-politician nexus forms the crux of the vigilante action drama.
The 'Bicchagadu' actor plays the role of a tuition master who is an IAS aspirant. He dares the might of the criminal nexus and eventually takes on the political class. At one point in the trailer, we see him reeling off a monologue against the massive sums of money deployed at the time of elections by cash-rich candidates.
Directed by Ananda Krishnan, the film has Aathmika as the female lead. There is a passing hint at their romance. Also featuring Ramachandra Raju and 'Baahubali' Prabhakar, the film has music by Nivas K Prasanna. NS Uthaya Kumar is its director of photography. Bhashya Sree, who has consistently penned the dialogues and lyrics for Vijay Antony's movies, is on board. Stunts are by Mahesh Mathew.
The film is yet to lock its release date.
