Director Shankar after enthralling audiences worldwide with his '2.0' starring Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar started initial work for 'Indian 2' starring Kamal Haasan. However the shooting could not begin as planned due to various reasons including the hero's tight schedules as an active politician.

Now the buzz that is doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Shankar has reportedly decided to move on to a new project before 'Indian 2' and talks are on with Reliance Entertainment. The breathtaking news here is that the project is set to star Thalapathy Vijay and Chiyaan Vikram as the two heroes. The Vijay-Vikram-Shankar project has been in the pipeline for many years now and as the sources of this news are well placed it looks like the magical combo is ready to take flight sooner than anyone expected.
