Vijay Varma thinks A Suitable Boy was overshadowed by this show

Few months ago, brilliant actor Vijay Varma starred in BBC period drama, 'A Suitable Boy'. He was elated to work on the project since it was being directed by Mira Nair. It starred Tabu and Ishaan Khattar in lead roles but despite having an all Indian principle cast, the show failed to create any buzz in India.

In an recent interview with Hindustan Times Vijay has shared his opinion on what might have been the cause of the poor reception of 'A Suitable Boy'. He believes that it was due to its clash with another popular web series which was released simultaneously, 'Mirzapur 2'. "I think it didn't make much noise because it was released with Mirzapur," Vijay shared.

Mirzapur was highly anticipated by fans since its first season ended on a cliffhanger almost two years ago. Vijay was also a part of the show. He played the dual role of Tyagi brothers and both his characters were loved by the audience.
