Earlier this year, it was revealed that Thalapathy Vijay would be joining hands with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju for his 66th film. The project has now been officially confirmed and the announcement has been made.

To be made as a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil, the film will be one of the costliest bilinguals of all time. Kollywood director Raju Murugan is on board as a writer, while a top musician is said to be scoring the music. The rest of the cast and crew details will be out soon.

An ensemble cast will be brought in to make the film a true biggie.

Meanwhile, Vijay is busy with his new biggie 'Beast' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. The film has Pooja Hegde as the leading lady and Anirudh scoring the music. As for Dil Raju, he recently launched Ram Charan's 15th movie, which is directed by Shankar. Kiara Advani is its heroine. The untitled flick is a pan-India project that might hit the screens in the second half of 2022 or in the first half of 2023.
