Kollywood is in shock as an actor was hacked to death by four assailants early this morning right in front of his house. Selvarathinam aged 45 who is married and has three children has acted in the serial 'Thenmozhi BA' starring Jacqueline in the lead which is currently telecasting on Vijay TV.

It is said that Selvarathinam who is a Sri Lankan Tamil apart from acting was also involved in building contracts and real estate. Early this Sunday morning around 6.30 am four armed men had come in an autorickshaw to his house in MGR Nagar, Chennai and pulled out Selvarathinam and hacked him with knives and sickles and he is said to have lost his life on the spot.

The men had also destroyed the CCTV camera set in a the neighbourhood and escaped in their vehicle. Police rushed to the spot and have started investigations and are probing the case in many angles including enmity in business or other personal issues.
