While Vijay's film Jilla in which the star can be seen acting along a Malayalamr Super Star Mohanlal is chasing he pongal release slot, news of the Thuppakki actor's pairing up with another Malayalamr Super Star Mammootty, has started surfacing.

However it wont be a film in which Vijay will be doing a full fledged role. Mamootty is currently acting in a film titled Gangster which is directed by Ashique abu, who helmed the super hit and critically acclaimed film 22 Femal Kottayam.

We hear that Abu is keen on adding Vijay to his film at least in dance sequence. He is also taking all possible steps to achieve that however prefers to keep it as a surprise for the fans. Sources do not deny the chances of Vijay playing a pivotal role in the film as well.

Making a cameo in songs is not new for Vijay, for he has already appeared in a song in the bollywood film Rowdy Rathore directed by his good friend Prabhu deva.

it is also worth remembering that actor Dhanush who made a cameo appearance as his one self in the Malayalam film Kammath & Kammath that had Mammootty and Dileep paying the lead, has made the Mariyaan actor a household name in Kerala.

Considering these facts, it can be concluded that Vijay will not miss the opportunity to star with Mammootty after Mohanlal, if all things fall in place.
