Vijay thanks fans

Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay has expressed gratitude to his fans and members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam who had worked hard (in support of the AIADMK-led alliance) in the elections to Tamil Nadu Assembly.

The actor, who exercised his franchise at a Corporation School in Adyar Wednesday, said, “Elections in the past made me worry since the turn out of voters was very less.”

“But this time, I could see energy and enthusiasm in the faces of people and they voted in large numbers since morning. This is a welcome change and the results would reflect it,” he said.

Vijay was accompanied to the polling booth by father S A Chandrasekar and wife Sangeetha. It may be recalled that the actor expressed his support to the opposition AIADMK and his father called on J Jayalaltihaa thrice.
