Vijay, who is currently busy with the shoot of Bigil, directed by Atlee, has finalized his role in the upcoming project, Thalapathy 64, to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

While the team recently confirmed the crew of the film, the producers have now announced that 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi has been signed up for Thalapathy 64, as we already broke the news a couple of weeks ago. "We are overwhelmed and excited to have our versatile star 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi sir on board for Thalapthy 64," the producers' tweet read.

Produced by Xavier Britto, the crew from the producer's upcoming film 'Kaithi,' starring Karthi, has pretty much been retained for Thalapathy 64. The music of the film will be composed by Anirudh.
