Vijay, who is currently busy with the shoot of Bigil, directed by Atlee, has finalized his role in the upcoming project, Thalapathy 64, to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

An official update regarding the movie is finally here from the team. While speculations of the announcement ranged from revealing the complete cast of the movie to announcing the title/release date, the team has officially confirmed the crew of the film. The music of the untitled film is composed by Anirudh, while Philomin Raj is handling the editing and Sathyan Sooryan is taking charge of the camera. Silva will be coordinating the stunts. The audio rights of Thalapathy 64 have been bagged by Sony Music.

It was earlier revealed by our sources that 'Kabir Singh' heroine Kiara Advani will most likely play the female lead in the movie, while 'Angamaly Diaries' fame Antony Varghese has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. The same is yet to be confirmed by the team. Thalapathy 64 is gearing up for a Summer 2020 release.
