The news that Thalapathy Vijay's son and actress Devyani's daughter will be playing the lead in the sequel to an Ajith Kumar movie has gone viral on the internet. It is well known that every day fans of Vijay and Ajith are at loggerheads on the internet. How they will take this is anybodys guess but lets see the origin of the news itself.

Actress Devyani starred in the lead role in the movie 'Nee Varuvay Ena' directed by her husband Rajakumaran which released in the year 1999. The film starred Parthiban in the lead while Ajith played the powerful character of Devyani's dead lover who appears in the flashback scenes.

Rajakumaran in a recent interview stated that he first planned the film to star both Vijay and Ajith but it did not materialize. Now he added that he has plans to make a sequel and is likely to cast his daughter Iniya and Vijay's son Jason Sanjay. Anyways Iniya is still doing her college studies and Sanjay reportedly has interest only behind the camera. So lets see if this project materializes in the future.

Meanwhile Vijay's 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is releasing in theaters worldwide on October 19th and he will be starting the shooting of 'Thalapathy 68' in a couple of months. Ajith Kumar's next movie 'Vidaamuyarchi' directed by Magizh Thirumeni will go on floors on August 21st at the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad.
