The sudden announcement of Superstar Rajinikanth's next movie directed by Karthick Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures came as a surprise to many as the legend has just started his political journey.  However there is great excitement from fans of both the Thalaivar and the new age director about the project.

As it is common for speculations to start when such a huge project is announced, the latest one is that Vijay Sethupathi has been approached to play the chief antagonist.  There is credence to this one as VJS and Karthick Subbaraj are very close friends and collaboraters since their short film days.  The 'Vikram Vedha' star is also known to take up any challenging role irrespective of whether he is the hero or not.

However we cannot take this buzz on face value unless Karthick Subbaraj or Sun Pictures confirm it but if at all a Rajini-Vijay Sethupathi combo materialises it would be dream come true and mega treat for movie lovers.
