The Indian government that hosts the Kalaimamani awards every year, has honoured 201 artists with the award for the best performer under various categories this year.

‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi is one of the actors who won the prestigious award. Other artists who won the award include Vijay Antony, Sasikumar, Santhanam, Soori, and folk singers Paravai Muniyamma and Velmurugan.

Journalists Ashok Kumar and Manavai Pon Manickam were also part of the list of people who won the award.
