Vijay Sethupathi fondly addressed as Makkal Selvan by fans is one of the if not busiest top heroes in pan Indian cinema. His hunger for challenging roles is well known and does not shy away from donning supporting as well as negative characters as well. He shined as a ruthless villain opposite Superstar Rajinikanth in 'Petta', Krithi Shetty in 'Uppenna', Thalapathy Vijay in 'Master' and most recently Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in 'Vikram'.
It is needless to add that producers and directors from all languages are making a beeline to Vijay Sethupathi to get him to star as the antagonist in their films. It was rumoured that he has signed on to play negative characters in Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' a Nandamuri Bala Krishna film and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'. It was said that he received payment of over 80 Crores in all for the three films.
Vijay Sethupathi's PRO Yuvaraj has now issued a clarification on Twitter "This is to clarify that #VijaySethupathi sir is doing a negative role only in #ShahRukhKhan sir's Jawan at this point and that he is not playing a negative role in any other Telugu projects as is being speculated.".
It is now clear that VJS is officially a part of 'Jawan' directed by Atlee and starring SRK and Nayanthara. However 'Pushpa 2' fans will definately feel disappointed that he is not a part of the much awaited film.
