Vijay Sethupathi plays an elderly prisoner in 'Viduthalai' and his relationship with the meek constable played by Soori during an encounter forms the crux of the story. Bhavani Shre and Gautham Menon play other important characters while Ilayaraja scores the music and R. Velraj handles the camera. The final schedule of shooting is planned in a few weeks time during which Vetrimaran is planning to wrap up the entire film.
