The teaser of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha starrer '96' directed by Premkumar has just released to a great response for its poetic cuts and music. Very little is known about this film except that its a story of love transcending time and space with the lead character's many stages in life captured.

Singer Chinmayi has shared some hithero unknown facts about '96' stating "Prem sir wanted one voice for the Trisha. A voice that can sing and dub. And that’s exactly what I got to do. To be the voice of Trisha and sing all the songs in the film. I am indebted to Prem sir and Govind for the opportunity of a lifetime. "Govind of Thaikkudam Bridge is the composer for this fantastic film. It was one of the best experiences in my life to work with Director Prem. He actually gave me a narration which took me by surprise.

Chinmayi has concluded that '96' is extremely special in her career. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Janagaraj, S.Janaki, Kaali Venkat and Aadukalam Murugadoss. Release is expected sometime in August.
