In 2013 well known short film maker Nalan Kumarasamy debuted in silver screen with Soodhu Kavvum that had Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead role. The film was not only a stupendous success but also a trend setter.

Now we hear that the actor director duo will be joining hands for another project and this time it will be a romantic comedy. However it will take a bit long time for the film to go on floors since Vijay Sethupathi is busy with multiple projects in hand and Nalan has just started working on his second film.

Sources close to the director has informed to a leading national newspaper that Nalan’s second directorial will have a different story with a bunch of good actors starring in it. As confirmed by Nalan himself, it will be a crime comedy.

The director has also confirmed that he has written a rom-com script and narrated it to a couple of leading actors. One among them is Suriya who was interested in the project but could not allot dates. Hence the director had narrated the script to Vijay Sethupathi who accepted to take up the project. This will be the third project of Nalan and his second with Vijay Sethupathi.
