Actor Vijay Sethupathi is basking on the glory of back to back super hits 'Kavan' and 'Vikram Vedha' in 2017. His next release will be his long delayed film 'Puriyaadha Pudhir' which is scheduled to hit the screens on September 1, 2017. In the same month the Makkal Selvan will be having another release which is 'Karuppan'.

Produced by A.M. Ratnam and directed by Panneerselvam of 'Renigunta' fame, 'Karuppan' is a rural entertainer starring Vijay Sethupathi and Tanya in lead roles. The film will have Vijay Sethupathi playing the Tamil people's traditional Jallikattu sport. Bobby Simha will be seen as the lead villain in this film which will have D. Imman as music director.

The latest update we learn about 'Karuppan' is the shooting of the film has been entirely wrapped and earlier this week, the dubbing process has also been completed.

The film is getting ready to hit the screens in the second or third week of September 2017.
