Vijay Sethupathi was asked by the media who he would support in the upcoming Nadigar Sangam elections and has stated that he had spoken to one group and liked their schemes. He however did not reveal whether his support is for Vishal's incumbent 'Pandavar Ani' or K.Bhagyaraj's newly formed 'Sankaradas Swamigal Ani'.

The Makkal Selvan made a request to the political leaders as well as industry leaders to aide in the betterment of the Tamil cinema industry which is facing many problems. He pointed out that apart from the hundred or two hundred actors and filmmakers there are lakhs whose livelihood depends on it. He expressed his hope that the Nadigar Sangam elections will bring about a positive change for actors.

Vijay Sethupathi's next movie 'Sindhubaadh' directed by S.U. Arunkumar is releasing on June 21st and has in the cast Anjali, Vivek Prasanna, Lingaa, Aruldoss and Soorya Vijay Sethupathi.
