Vijay Sethupathi never tires of surprising his fans with his choice of movies and this year itself they have been treated to completely different shades of characters. In 'Kadaisi Vivasayi' he was Ramaiah a mysterious person who seems unhinged by appearance but carrying a divine aura with him.
Next came 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' directed by Vignesh Shivan in which VJS played a romantic person who wins not one but two gorgeous women played by Nayanthara and Samantha no less. The trailer of the upcoming 'Vikram' shows the Makkal Selvan as a ruthless villain and fans cant wait to watch his confrontations with Kamal on June 3rd.
The trailer of 'Maamanithan' shows a completely different and vulnerable side of Vijay Sethupathi as a middle aged man struggling to provide his wife and children a decent life.
Now comes the news that the most versatile Vijay Sethupathi has been offered a whopping salary to play the villain once again after 'Vikram'. This time it is for 'SSMB28' starring Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde in the lead and directed by Trivikram.
It is said that the director who is close to Vijay Sethupathi having produced his Telugu debut 'Uppenna' has intiitated talks with him for the powerful role. We have to wait for offiicial confirmation on this one. If things work out Mahesh Babu will join the long list of heroes such as Superstar Rajinikanth, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and Thalapathy Vijay against whom Vijay Sethupathi locked horns as the chief antagonist.
