As the year 2016 is drawing to an end we take a look at the front line heroes who gave the maximum number of films and here are the figures. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and Thala Ajith are conspicuous by their absence as none of their films hit the screens this year. The topmost heroes who gave one film each are Rajini (Kabali`), Vijay (Theri`) , Suriya (24`) and Vikram (Iru Mugan).

The heroes who gave two films are Vijay Antony (Pichaikaaran` & Saithan`), Sivakarthikeyan (Rajini Murugan` & Remo`), Karthi ('Thozha' & Kashmoraa).Dhanush (Kodi` & Thodari`) and Simbu (Idhu Namma Aalu` & Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada`).

Vishal gave three films (Kathakali`, Marudhu` & Kaththi Sandai`)and so did G. V. Prakash Kumar (Pencil`, Enakku Innoru Paer Irukku` & Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru`). Sasikumar gave four films (Thaarai Thappattai`, Vetrivel`, Kidari` and Balle Vellaiyatheva`).

The man with the most number of releases, critical acclaim and hits is Vijay Sethupathi who starred in six quality films in 2016, Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum`, Iraivi`, Sethupathi`, Dharma Durai`, Aandavan Kattalai` and Rekka`.
