Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, who had last delivered a critically acclaimed performance in Super Deluxe directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, will be back on screen in a new avatar in his next movie Sindhubaadh, directed by Su Arunkumar and produced by Vansan Movies and K Productions.

While the movie was earlier planned as a May 16 release, it was postponed, and it is expected to release in June - July. Now it has been made official that the Tamilnadu theatrical rights of Sindhubaadh have been acquired by Clapboard production Sathyamoorthy, who had earlier released Adangamaru.

Sindhubaadh has Vijay Sethupathi and his son Surya playing small time thieves, and Anjali is paired with Vijay Sethupathi after Iraivi. The movie also stars Sethupathi fame Linga as the villain, and Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the movie, which is touted to be an action thriller which has been shot in Malaysia as well.
