Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi had last appeared on screen in the lead role in his silver jubilee flick Seethakaathi and had then played the antagonist in this year's Pongal release, the Superstar Rajnikanth starrer Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Now, the busy actor's next project has reached an important phase.
Vijay Sethupathi had been shooting for his mentor Seenu Ramasamy directorial Maamanithan produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja's YSR films and this movie's shoot has been wrapped, and the director himself took it to Twitter to announce the completion of shoot, with a click of the whole crew, at Trilochan Ghat, Varanasi.
Maamanithan will next begin the dubbing process, and then will soon be announcing its release date. Said to be revolving around the story of a simpleton who rises in the society, Maamanithan will have music by Ilaiyaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja and also stars Guru Somasundaram and Gayathrie.
