Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi had teamed up with his mentor director Seenu Ramasamy for the fourth time after Thenmerku Paruvakatru, Idam Porul Yeval and Dharmadurai, in the movie Maamanidhan, a rural entertainer, and the movie had completed shooting before two months.

Now, the latest update from team Maamanithan is that Vijay Sethupathi has started dubbing for his role in the movie, and followed by him, the remaining cast will start dubbing. It has been expected that the movie might be targeting an August release.

Maamanidhan marks the reunion of Gayathrie and Vijay Sethupathi after Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Puriyatha Puthir and the recent Super Deluxe, and will also star Guru Somasundaram in a pivotal role. The movie will have music by Isaignani Ilaiyaraja, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Karthik Raja.
