The Coronavirus pandemic has resulted in shootings getting cancelled and movies opting for direct OTT platform release instead of a theatrical release. Earlier movies like Ponmagal Vandhaal and Penguin released on Amazon prime.
Recently, Suriya's Soorarai Pottru was announced as an October 30 release on Amazon prime, and this has shocked the whole industry. Recently there were reports that Vijay Sethupathi, Aishwarya Rajesh starrer Ka Pae Ranasingam and Dikkiloona starring Santhanam, both produced by KJR Studios were acquired by Zee 5 for direct OTT release.
However, KJR studios has now refuted these rumours and have tweeted that they are yet to lock ott deals. Their tweet read "UNTRUE. We’re in talks with all major OTT players but we haven’t zeroed in yet. Please await official confirmation on our films directly from us! ????#KaPaeRanasingam #Dikkiloona".
