Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen playing a transgender in the Thiagarajan Kumararaja directorial Super Deluxe, received positive reviews for his impressive performance, and is currently acting in his next action mass entertainer Sanga Tamizhan.

Produced by Vijaya Productions, Sanga Tamizhan has Vijay Sethupathi playing dual roles for the first time in his career and the movie is directed by Vaalu and Sketch fame Vijay Chandar. The movie has two female leads namely Nivetha Pethuraj and Raashi Khanna.

Sanga Tamizhan had shot its initial schedule in Hyderabad following which another schedule happened in Madurai, Theni and now, the team is shooting the climax action sequence involving Vijay Sethupathi and the villains in Courtallam. The movie also stars Asutosh Rana and John Vijay and has music by Vivek - Mervin.
