Vijay Sethupathi is undoubtedly the busiest top actor in not only Tamil cinema but pan India as well. After the tremendous success of his films 'Master' and 'Vikram in which he played the chief antagonist against Vijay and Kamal he has become the most sought after pan Indian villain.
Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly been signed on to play the villain Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' directed by Atlee for the fancy sum of rupees 30 Crores. He has also signed 'Pushpa 2' opposite Allu Arjun for 25 Crores and the reason he agreed for that sum is because director Sukumar was the one who introduced him to Telugu cinema through 'Uppenna'. Similarly for one of Nandamuri Bala Krishna's upcoming biggie VJS has been roped in for a salary of 25 Crores. That is a cool rupees eighty crores for half the number of dates he will allot for a film playing the lead role.
The hot buzz is that another big Bollywood hero and leading director are keen to have the Makkal Selvan in their next mega project and have initiated talks. No need to add that they are willing to pay him in the region of rupees 30 Crores. If you sum that up the talented star actor will pocket a cool hundred and ten crores in this year itself. He is said to have been paid rupees 10 Crores each for 'Uppenna' and 'Master and 15 Crores for 'Vikram' last year.
Apart from these three films Vijay Sethupathi is acting in a pan Indian web series directed by Raj and DK of 'Family Man' fame in which Shahid Kapoor, Raashi Khanna and Regina Cassandra are his costars. Other titles include 'Merry Christmas' and 'Gandhi Talks' in Hindi and 'Viduthalai' directed by Vetrimaaran and new project helmed by H. Vinoth in Tamil. Great going indeed.
